Founded in 2010, Ember Studio is the base of operations for artist and designer Mike McDonald. After ten years in the design business, Mike set out to create a studio that allowed him the freedom to do the type of work that he enjoyed while serving a variety of clients and companies with different services and products. Primarily, stock assets and custom graphic design work.

Since 2007, Mike has created unique stock assets and graphics for marketing professionals and other designers around the world, selling over 200,000 image use licenses and having his work appear in ads, websites, and marketing materials for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike.

Beginning in 2010 with the official launch of Ember, Mike also began to design and develop marketing materials and advertising for clients in various industries, for both large and small businesses.

Mike works out of his home in Caldwell, New Jersey, where he lives with his wife, son, and two cats.
